Bespoke 2016 – Sleeping Beauty

Styled shoots are always a fun and inspiring way to collaborate with local wedding vendors and get creative with new concepts. The sad part about these styled shoots is no one really gets to see them in person, besides some of the vendors involved. Claudia and her team at Simply Weddings organized the second wedding show in Halifax, NS with the best of both worlds!

This year Claudia organized 8 fairytale themed spaces with some of the top wedding vendors in the area AND invited local brides and wedding industry enthusiasts to attend! This day was nothing short of magical, just like a real fairytale wedding should be. I was so honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of the Sleeping Beauty space. I wish I could have helped with more but with baby coming in the next few weeks and a full schedule to get wedding invites out the door this month I decided one was enough. I hope to have the opportunity again next year to showcase more of my work.

About the stationery: I love playing with new ideas and upcoming trends. Watercolour has definitely been on the top of the stationery trend list the last few years and it’s not fading anytime soon. I modified one of my favourite designs from this season to match the feminine pinks, rich greens and it all tied together with the gold. Dark rich colours paired with light pastels is a trend this season that seems to be just getting started and I’m loving the contrast and pop of colour it gives to wedding stationery.
