Below are a few things to consider when getting ready to think about your wedding stationary. Use the provided image as a guide to make sure you pre order your custom wedding designs at least 6 months in advance to help prevent you from any unnecessary wedding stress.
1. Decide on your wedding theme, put together inspirational items and design ideas about what you would like your stationary to look like. Colors, patterns, flowers etc. Look online for designs ideas to help your designer come up with something unique that you will LOVE!
2. Invitation style, do you want a simple single 5×7 invitation, a pocket fold with a number of pages with lots of information for your guest, or a seal and send style to save paper and envelope costs.
3. How many invitations do you need? put together your guest list to help determine how many invitations you need printed.
4. Consider Save the date cards approximately 9-12 months before the wedding. Have engagement photos taken and incorporate them in the design or have your designer create something from scratch that represents your personal style.
5. Start looking at invitation wording, copy some samples you really like and save them and provide them to your designer.
6. Make final decisions on ceremony and reception times and provide as much information as possible to your designer. Type your text and proof read, proof read, proof read! make sure to get more then one person to read over your text to make sure everything from names, address and times are correct!
7. Think about what what additional inserts you may need, reception cards, accommodation cards, map/directions. And don’t forget the day of wedding items you may require: ceremony programs, menu’s, table cards, wine labels, thank you cards etc.
